Alpha layer

That was me, i didn't logged in i guess. I know that the alpha layer is supported in the client, (right?), but talking on IRC and the forums the consensus seemed that it wasn't going to be used for performance reasons. I have talked many times on IRC about this and no one gave me a final answer, so what is the final decision? will be used, not used, or will be an option?

• Please just sign whatever you say, there's even a button for that, second from the right. Anyway as I said final decision is to use alpha layer. Using magic pink is too limited for item icons, and it's not really that much of a performance issue as they're only drawn on a very small area on the screen, unlike for example the tiles. --Bjørn 17:48, 24 May 2005 (PDT)
