Even though it's a beginner's Classic:Shields the defense boost of 7 is very handy.
But don't spend money to buy it from a Classic:Shop NPCs because it's available in a quest and the even better Classic:Wooden Shield is early available in the game too.
Remember that Shields can only be equipped with a Classic:1-Handed Weapon.
