During that sunday, a NPC called kytty showed up in Hurnscald Square.
She was be complaining that she feels like her husband is staring at other people, and that he should only stare at kytty! So she came up with a great plan - she was going to brew a Love Potion so he only stares at her!
The event was based on Valentine Day 2011 proposal (which never left the drawing board).
She asked player for a few items (doable once per account) to brew some love potions.
- 20x Cherry
- 20x Chocolate Bar
- 1x Diamond
- 1x Chocolate Cake
After done, she would share a potion with the player, and tell them to give to their loved one or drink themselves, but it only works on cute people and she doesn't have high expectations for you as you are not her hubby.
Quest completion gave 50,000 xp and a Love Potion.
Drinking the potion would randomly:
- Make your hair pink
- Swap your gender (like Gumi Candy)
- Make Cupid go after you (=free stomping)
- Spawn a dozen pinkies at you
- Have no effect (you're just not cute), or maybe all of the above
Trivia
After event quest was completed, she would also ask the player to give her more chocolate, donated chocolate would be added to a global variable and kytty was be able to withdraw them once event ends because, why not? (It was dubbed "reasons to not date a developer").
Every 50 donated chocolates would be rewarded with an extra Love Potion. She was also paying out 15 exp per chocolate bar.
If kytty collected 1,500,000 chocolate bars, players would be eligible for a date with one of the developers. (The goal wasn't attained).
