Tyrone is the loyal bodyguard of Garret Masters, the travelling merchant. Tyrone, a giant of a man, is skilled at armed and unarmed combat. His weapon of choice is the greatsword, though he shows moderate skill at hand-to-hand fighting (something he's reputed to have learned in some far-away kingdom from a martial arts master). He's a fierce fighter, even foolhardy at times, and he's utterly loyal to his employer and friend, Garret. He has several large scars from the battles he's fought in defending the caravan from danger.

Though imposing and fearsome, he's ultimately a gentle soul, with a special place in his heart for art and poetry. He spends most of his spare time writing poetry and songs, that are garishly corny. Garret often gets irritated by this, but doesn't mention it out of kindness to Tyrone. Although Tyrone doesn't seem to have the mind of a poet, his skill at the baliset (a complex guitar/sitar-like instrument) are unparallelled. He often plays long and enchanting songs to entertain himself and Garret during long travels.

The one creative flash that Tyrone has had in the ways of poetry is inventing the name for Garret's caravan; "Sunlight". He noticed that they usually arrived at any given place at the crack of dawn, and didn't leave until sunset, so it was only logical...

Tyrone also takes care of Sandhoof, Garret's trusty horse that pulls the wagon they travel in.
