Alchemy is a crafting discipline which converst herbs into potions.

Herbs

Herbs exist in different colors:

red (common)
Red herbs have healing powers and thus are the base for all potions which recover hit points.
yellow (common)
While having no powers on their own yellow herbs can be used to potentiate the powers of other herbs but also make them work over a longer period of time.
blue (uncommon)
Blue herbs suck up mana energy while growing. Potions brewed from them cause a sudden boost to spell recharge.
green (uncommon)
Green herbs have healing and purifying properties. They are the base for potions which remove or protect fro status effects.
black (rare)
Black herbs are cursed with demonic energy. They can be used to create very powerful potion but every potion brewed with them also has a negative side effect.
purple (rare)
Purple herbs cause very weird effects. They are usually for entertainment purpose. Their practical use is usually low.

Herbs of every color also come in different quality grades. The better the quality of the herbs the better the resulting potion.

Formulas

All these potions also exist in different quality grades which are determinded by the quality of the used herbs. The higher the sum of the quality of the herbs and the rarer the herbs the harder are they to craft.

In addition to the herbs listed here each potion also requires an empty potion bottle (small bottle for one-herb potions, medium bottle for two-herb potions and large bottle for three-herb potions). In contrary to most other MMORPGs the empty bottles can be reused after drinking the potion (yes, we recycle).

Spell recharge blue Magic tincture Instant boost to the recovery state of all currently recharged spells (divided through the number of recharged spells)
blue + blue Magic drink 1.5 x as effective as a magic tincture.
blue + yellow Flow drink 3 x as effective as a magic tincture but does not boost instantly but over a short amount of time.
blue + blue + blue Magic potion 2 x as effective as a magic tincture.

blue + black Cursed magic drink 4x as effective as a magic tincture but completely stops magic recovery for a short amount of time.

blue + yellow + black Cursed flow potion 10 x as effective as a magic tincture but does not boost instantly but over a short amount of time. When this period is over all spells are instantly discharged and spell recovery is completely stopped for a short amount of time.

purple + green Anti-Depressant Potion Makes the user spam emoticons and inserts random smilies in the users chat messages for a moderate amount of time.
purple + black Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster Very strong alcoholic beverage.
