Sorfina

• Walk near Sorfina. She will begin the dialogue.
• She will explain the game rules and some basics. After that, she will give some basic equipments including:

• • 1 Cotton Shirt
  • 1 Ragged Shorts
  • 1 The Lost Hitchhiker.
  • 30 GP

Now you can go to talk to Tanisha.

Note: You can skip the dialogue with Sorfina, but it's not recommended, in this case you will not be able to help Tanisha in her tasks and you will receive :

• • 1 Cotton Shirt
  • 1 Ragged Shorts
  • 1 The Lost Hitchhiker
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Sling Shot
  • 500 Sling Bullets
  • 50 GP

Tanisha

Once the dialogue with Sorfina is finish, you have to talk with Tanisha. She has some tasks to do but she is disgusted by Maggots, so you choose to help her.

• Tanisha gives you a knife and some others weapons, and asks you to kill the maggots.
  Kill 5 Maggots. You will get some EXP (5 * 6 EXP), which will level up your character.
• When you are done with the Maggots, talk to Tanisha. She will inform you about things such as status points, since you just leveled up.

Note: If you have skipped the dialogue with Sorfina, you are not able to do this part.

  • 500 Sling Bullets
  • 5 * 6 EXP
  • 5GP

Jessie

• You may need to reset your stats. You can't reset your stats through Jessie after you are above level 10.
• There are others NPCs who can help you to reset your stats.

Valon

Valon works for The Council of Wizard's, who offer rewards for helping exterminate the pests on Candor Island. Each time you help him, he will reward you.

• Kill 10 Maggots and he will reward you with 40 Exp, 25 gp
• Kill 5 House Maggots and he will reward you with 40 Exp, 25 gp
• Kill 3 Tame Scorpions and he will reward you with 40 Exp, 25 gp
• Kill 1 Scorpion and he will reward you with 40 Exp, 25 gp

Bonus: 50 Exp for completing.

Zegas's Barrels

Talk to Zegas, she will ask your help to find the bug bomb that Eomie gave her. The bug bomb is in the storeroom in one of the barrels, but the store room is full of House Maggots, and they will attack you as soon as you enter the room.
Search the bug bomb in the barrels and get a random reward or possibly find a Maggot, ewww!

Reward

• 50 Exp, 50 GP for completion + random loot

Morgan

Morgan is the mage who lives and teaches magical spells on Candor Island. This is your first contact with the magical world and its quests. She will only talk to those that possess enough magical talent.

• Talk to her with 5 points in Intelligence, and she will give you your first mage weapon, the Wand.
• She will ask you to equip it and she will teach how to use your Wand with the spell #confringo.
• Morgan will not teach you more, you will have to leave her and to learn by yourself more about magic.

Hint : if you have already allocated all your stats points, and you don't have 5 on Intelligence, talk to Jessie, he will reset your stats if your level is lower than 10.

Hasan

• As you go North of Candor Island , you will see Hasan. If you walk past him, you will open a dialog box with him. He isn't very nice. Don't try to kill him, as you will probably die by doing this, as he gives a hard hit.
• Talk to Kaan, tell him that Hasan is bullying someone.
• You now need to know what Hasan's weakness is. Go back to Sorfina and tell her everything that happened with Hasan. She will tell you that he is awfully scared of Scorpions.
• Tell Kaan about the scorpions, and you will plot against Hasan. Go back to Hasan and talk to him and scratch your head as a signal. * Kill the scorpion that appears.
• Talk to Hasan and he will give you a Sharp Knife for your help.

Where to go now ?

On the way to Hurnscald and on Candor you will find many Non Player Characters NPCs who will tell you about the game and whom among them you have to speak to.
Ensure you register with Aidan and Ishi, as you will need this to collect certain items, and they are needed for some quests too.
Once you have reached level 10 you can go to Hurnscald and talk to Ian to receive your Graduation Cap.
It is important for you to find Ayasha, to do the Newbie Quests for new players, to help Banu, Kylian, Imec, Anwar, and even more. You can do so by consulting the board quest, and you will find which NPCs next need your help. To satisfy their needs you will have to carefully explore The Mana World. [[Category:Classic]
