Coal is used to convert Iron Ore to Iron Ingots, and to convert Iron Ingots into useful armor, shields, and weapons.

Jhedia requires Coal to convert Iron Ore to Iron Ingots. Jhedia will give you 1 Iron Ingot in exchange for 5 Iron Ore, 10 Coal, and 1000 GP.
